A Day In the Life.. My Life… Pass it on

I got this idea from my friend and fellow author Monique James. I thought, what a perfect way to kick off my new blog. So please join me for the day.

5:30 AM- Alarm is going off, and I hit the snooze on my phone and alarm clock. Yes, I’m really tired. I was either up late reading or my dogs, Moon and Wolf, may wake me up at three am barking at who knows what roaming through our yard.

6:00 AM- Okay out of bed and time to get the kids up. I turn the light on in their rooms and wake them up before getting into the shower. Yes so much fun to hear the grunt of teenagers when you awaken them.

7:00 AM- We leave for the bus stop and wait for the high school and elementary school bus to pick up the kids.

7:20 AM- On my way to work finally. It only takes me about ten to fifteen minutes to get to work, and then I check my email and twitter before I go in and make my coffee and get to work.

8:00 AM- Monday to Wednesday I work until two. I know you say oh know she is one of those people. Yep, I work in the bookkeeping department, so I am pretty busy answering phones, process payments and handling many other items during the day. I don’t really have time to write or keep up with personal emails.

2:00 PM- Go to elementary school to pick up daughter get home about two thirty or so. Make some lunch and make a snack for my daughter or anyone else I may have brought home with her. Start thinking about dinner, while listening to my daughter talk nonstop, and I continue to tell her to be quiet and do her homework.

4:00 PM- Head down to bus stop to meet the high school bus. Then I pick up my son and head home to make dinner for us.

8:00 PM- Kids need to hit showers and start to wind down if all their homework is done.

11:30 PM- I am usually asleep or falling asleep so it is time to turn off  the computer or close the book and turn off the light and get some sleep my self.

Thursday and Friday’s my husband is home, and he picks up the kids, so I work full days. Our schedule is busy, but the most important thing is that I am able to be here for my kids.  One thing at a time I try to remember. Some nights I may only get a paragraph written or a sentence, but its one more than I had the day before.

So that’s my day in a nut shell nothing to exciting and most days don’t go as planned. Nothing ever does. Just like when I write. I’m always surprised at what transpires with my stories. I hope you will be as excited to read them as I was to write them.

Join me on my journey. I’d love the company!

Later!
